Job description :

The Territory Account Manager is responsible for maintaining and developing customer relationships to promote the company's range of material handling equipment and other services in a defined geographical area (Outaouais - Eastern Ontario)

 Key responsibilities:

  • Customer relationship management:
    • Maintain regular contact with customers (meetings, calls, e-mails). Identify needs, propose appropriate solutions, and inform about new product and service offerings.
    • Represent all company departments and divisions to customers.
    • Offer advice to meet customers' material handling needs.
  • Market development:
    • Target competing users and prospects in the territory.
    • Develop action plans to convert prospects into customers.
    • Coordinate with other departments to meet prospects' specific needs.
    • Promote new offerings and network to generate business opportunities.
  •  Proposals and orders:
    • Prepare quotations based on customer needs and application requirements.
    • Collaborate with management to obtain approvals and ensure compliance with sales margins.
    • Work with factories and suppliers to finalize proposals and orders.
  •  Forecasting and reporting:
    • Develop monthly and annual sales forecasts (units/dollars).
    • Compile detailed profiles of customers and competitors, and analyze lost orders.
    • Develop annual business plans and identify target accounts.

Skills and qualifications :

  •  2-5 years of B2B sales experience
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to make client presentations
  • Ability to establish excellent professional relationships
  • Spoken and written bilingualism (French/English)
  • Have a valid car and driver's license
  • Great knowledge of Excel
