Job description :

A manufacturing company located on Montreal's South Shore is looking for an Electrical Engineer to add to its team. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for the electrical installations of all buildings on the site.

More specifically, your duties will include  :

• Approve all modifications or additions to electrical distribution.
• Keep single-line and building electrical plans up to date, while ensuring the application of electrical safety rules in compliance with CSA-Z462.
• Coordinate and supervise all electrical work.
• Support the installation and start-up of electrical equipment, in collaboration with suppliers and the organization's various teams.
• Manage energy efficiency projects related to electrical installations.
• Draft technical specifications, identify and consult potential suppliers.
• Act as an electrical expert for maintenance personnel, particularly in problem-solving.
• Actively participate in the development of training programs for various groups and act as a trainer.
• Lead or participate in risk analyses of new equipment or modifications to existing equipment.
• Ensure a preventive maintenance plan to reduce unplanned downtime.

Skills and qualifications :

• Hold a BAC in electrical engineering and be a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in engineering
• Bilingualism (French-English)
