Job description :

Our customer based in Manseau (Centre-du-Québec) is currently looking for a Quality Manager.

Main duties:

• Lead the implementation of quality, safety and regulatory policies and strategies established by the corporate team, ensuring that systems are implemented and comply with internal and external AQSA standards and customer requirements.
• Establish standards for the plant's quality and food safety practices, managing the documentation, systems and resources required for their implementation and execution.
• Analyze data obtained in the course of monitoring the AQSA operational steps performed in processes and the final product to ensure compliance with the specifications of both business areas.
• Monitor plant sanitation, pest control and prerequisite programs to ensure compliance with company-established standards.
• FSQA: Plant resource for the commissioning, qualification and verification of process and/or equipment changes associated with the production of manufactured products to ensure that results comply with food safety quality standards defined by the company.
• Guarantee the release process of finished products in compliance with quality and safety procedures and standards, according to the specifications defined for this purpose.
• Plan the necessary activities related to food safety and quality incidents in order to establish solutions in line with the company's policy in this area, and coordinate with the Operations sector to materialize these solutions.
• Lead and coordinate the multidisciplinary HACCP team whose function is to design, implement and improve the food safety system.
• Leads food quality assurance staff and is responsible for their development and performance. Supports, coaches and trains all employees in all aspects of the company's food safety and quality program.
• Proposes and/or coordinates continuous improvement initiatives, both with the plant's sectors and with the company's AQSA sector.
• Manages quality and food safety indicators, providing information, advice and solutions to ensure compliance with AQSA standards.
• Receive, coordinate and direct visits from government agencies or organizations such as Seremi Health, Agricultural and Livestock Service, FDA, etc., as well as customer and company visits.
• Responds to customer complaints on the basis of research and solutions where necessary.
• Responsible for internal and external audits related to the plant, its infrastructure and production processes.

Skills and qualifications :

• University degree in food technology or equivalent
• 5 to 7 years' experience in the agri-food industry
• Autonomy and initiative
• Proficiency in Office suite.
• Bilingualism essential.
• Good communication skills.
• Mobility 4 days a week on site or relocation.
