Job description :

Our client, a small and medium size company is looking for an accounting assistant to support their finance department. The company is located in Anjou and it’s an onsite role.

What you’ll do in this role :

  • Verify, compile, and process invoices
  • Ensure payment deadlines are met
  • Process payments via credit card, bank transfer, and checks
  • Handle inter-company accounts
  • Follow up on files, invoices, and issues with purchase orders
  • Reconcile supplier account statements
  • File paid invoices and open new supplier files
  • Balance General Ledger and Subledger at month-end for payables and GRN
  • Record month-end reports for payables and GRN
  • Prepare sales tax at month-end
  • Review and analyze the general ledger
  • Prepare sales commissions
  • Prepare sales tax at month-end

Skills and qualifications :

  • DEC (Diploma of College Studies)
  •  Minimum of 2 years of experience
  •  Strong knowledge of computer software
  •  Solid communication skills
  •  Bilingual (French and English), written and spoken
  •  Autonomy, initiative, and attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities
  • Capacity to handle multiple files at the same time
  • Organized
