A young, growing company located in the Port of Montreal is currently looking for a Chief Industrial Mechanic in the agri-food sector. A key position within the company. Main responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Operations Manager, oversee all operations related to equipment maintenance and repair.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and technical problems quickly and efficiently.
• Ensure implementation of and compliance with safety procedures for all operations.
• Train and supervise maintenance team members to ensure high-quality work.
• Monitor and manage stocks of spare parts and consumables required for maintenance operations.
• Collaborate with other departments to minimize production interruptions and optimize equipment performance.
• Prepare maintenance reports and maintain equipment maintenance records.
• Daytime schedule Monday to Friday from 06:30 to 14:30 (flexible schedule can start later and finish later).

Skills and qualifications :

• DEP diploma in industrial mechanics
• Minimum 5 years' experience as an industrial mechanic
• 100% face-to-face position (must have worked in an outside environment)
• Experience in the agricultural field, specifically with bulk handling and storage equipment (an asset)
• Leadership and communication skills
