Job description :

Our client is currently seeking an Occupational Health and Safety Nurse for its facilities in the Gaspésie region.

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide first aid for work-related or non-work-related injuries or illnesses, including assessment, development of a care plan, and, if necessary, medical or nursing follow-up.
• Organize and manage health service activities, including maintaining necessary supplies.
• Contribute to the occupational health and safety program in collaboration with local health services.
• Conduct required industrial hygiene sampling, calibrate and verify measuring devices, and follow up on the results.
• Lead health and safety training for employees and facilitate safety meetings as needed.
• Participate in the prevention of workplace accidents and occupational illnesses by analyzing risks and implementing preventive measures.
• Attend monthly occupational health and safety committee meetings and propose solutions to identified issues.

This role is essential for ensuring a safe work environment and proactive management of health concerns within the company.

This position is offered as a permanent residency (no commuting or fly-in fly-out).

Skills and qualifications :

• Nursing qualification, with experience in an industrial setting or occupational health considered an asset.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
