Job description :

We are looking for an experienced senior estimator to join a dynamic and passionate team.

A recognized leader in the construction industry both in Canada and internationally, the company stands out for its expertise in managing large-scale projects, particularly in the institutional sector.

Main Responsibilities:

• Analyze tender documents to identify competitive opportunities and assess profitability conditions
• Write the executive summary of the tender and present it during the kick-off meeting
• Prepare and send requests for quotes to subcontractors
• Conduct site visits for the project in tender and review the plans and specifications
• Perform quantity take-offs required for the tender
• Evaluate the costs associated with the tender
• Develop the preliminary project schedule
• Collaborate with the chief estimator in developing overhead costs
• Ensure multiple bids are obtained for critical disciplines
• Analyze and review the offers received from subcontractors
• Participate in the review and closure of tenders
• Attend the project kick-off meeting
• Organize meetings with subcontractors and negotiate subcontracts with the Director

Skills and qualifications :

• College diploma (civil engineering, architecture) or bachelor’s degree in engineering
• 3 to 5 years of experience
• Knowledge of Procore (an asset)
• Bilingual (oral and written, English and French)
