Job description :

The Production Coordinator is responsible for supervising and coordinating production activities in our food manufacturing plant.

The Production Coordinator's responsibilities include planning production schedules, coordinating human and material resources, supervising field operations and supervisors, resolving problems encountered during the production process, and monitoring performance indicators to ensure efficient production.

He/she must be familiar with food quality and safety standards, occupational health and safety regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Draw up action plans with objectives for teams
  • Risk management to control and reduce negative
  • Ensure supervisors have the tools and resources to achieve their production line objectives
  • Implement methods to achieve objectives
  • Respect deadlines
  • Measure variances between objectives and results (dashboards)
  • Seek to improve sector efficiency
  • Ensure supervisors understand their role and responsibilities
  • Evaluate staff
  • Coach supervisors for continuous improvement
  • Intervene when a supervisor's performance is unsatisfactory and apply measures
  • Ensure good communication and relations between different production lines
  • Communicate management expectations to his/her team
  • Lead team meetings

Skills and qualifications :

  • Operations management, continuous improvement or engineering background
  • Mastery of continuous improvement/quality tools (5S, kaizen, Six Sigma, etc.)
  • Good command of IT tools (Office Suite)
  • Ability to work on several projects at the same time
  • Leadership and autonomy
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Bilingual French/English
