Job description :

The position of Warehouse Team Leader is a key role in the management of logistics operations. Here are some of the responsibilities and skills generally associated with this position:

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for supplying assembly cells with parts to ensure smooth operations (deadlines, quantities & the right part at the right station);
• Manage production scrap and warehousing (waste, recycling, metal and wood);
• Ensure preventive maintenance of inter-plant feeder carts;
• Maintain and update warehouse merchandise location as required;
• Perform shipping and receiving functions;
• In collaboration with the warehouse clerk, handle goods using a forklift;
• Verify merchandise and quantities received according to delivery slip;
• Receive merchandise into the system;
• Maintain and manage physical inventory; Participate in cyclical counts;
• Prepare and ship parts for after-sales service (next-day shipments);
• Follow-up with purchasing department for warranty returns;
• Supervise and mentor warehouse clerks and ensure compliance with safe working practices.

Skills and qualifications :

• DES or other relevant degree
• Knowledge of custom papers
• Bilingual French/English
• Knowledge of inventory movement
• Experience in a similar position
• Minimum 3 years' experience in forklift driving
• Knowledge of ERP and inventory systems
• Good physical capacity (lift loads of 35-50 lbs)
• Demonstrate initiative, thoroughness and attention to detail
• Excellent organizational skills
