Job description :

Our client, a major Canadian group of independent optometrists, is dedicated to supporting optometry clinic owners by offering a comprehensive range of services aimed at optimizing their financial and operational performance. To strengthen its leadership team, they are seeking a director whose primary mission will be to plan, coordinate, and lead activities related to customer service and the development of their network. As a member of the executive committee, their main responsibilities will include the following:

  • Design and implement growth and customer engagement strategies.
  • Actively contribute to the company's expansion by identifying and recruiting new clients nationwide.
  • Manage a team of advisors across different provinces.
  • Develop and promote services tailored to the needs of professionals in the sector.
  • Analyze purchase statistics, performance indicators, and operational data from systems, and adjust the business plan to achieve objectives.
  • Oversee and participate in training programs with the internal team and external experts.
  • Contribute to the improvement of internal procedures and processes.

Skills and qualifications :

  • 15+ years of experience in operations management, retail, marketing, or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian business and cultural environments.
  • Bilingual (English/French), with 80% of members outside Quebec.
  • Proven leadership, team motivation, and collaboration skills.
  • Sound judgment, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all organizational levels.
  • Political savvy, influence, and negotiation skills.
  • Empathetic, pragmatic, and adaptable to a small business environment.
  • Experience in optics or with healthcare professional networks (e.g., dentists, veterinarians) is an asset.
  • You must reside in the Greater Montreal area.
